This page explains, in plain words, what happens to your information on hannah-homestead.com. The short version: only what is needed to deliver your book and answer you is collected, it is never sold, and you can ask for it to be deleted.

Who is responsible

The site hannah-homestead.com is run by Hannah Homestead. For anything about your data, write to contact.simplifiedmedia@gmail.com.

What is collected, and why

• When you buy. The checkout is run by Stripe. Your card or bank details go straight to Stripe and Link and are never seen or stored by us. We receive your name, email address, country and what you bought, so we can deliver your book, send it again if you lose it, and keep the records that tax rules require.
• When you write to us with the contact form: your name (if you give it), your email address and your message, only to answer you.
• When you ask for your link again: your email address, only to find your order and send the link.
• When you leave a review: your star rating, your words, your first name and your city or state. These may be shown on the book's page. Your email address is never shown.
• When you visit the site: like every website, the hosting provider sees your IP address and basic technical details of each request, to deliver the page and protect it against abuse.

Who helps us

• Stripe processes the payments. When the checkout page says "Sold through Link", Link (a Stripe company) is the seller of record for the transaction: it takes the payment, handles sales tax or VAT, sends your receipt and answers payment questions. Their own privacy policies apply to what you type on the checkout page.
• Resend sends our emails: the email with your book, a new link when you ask for one, and one email asking how you like the book.
• Cloudflare hosts this site and stores the book files and the order records needed to deliver them.

Your information is not sold and not shared for advertising.

Emails

You get one email with your book right after you pay. About 3 days later you get one more, asking how the book is treating you, with a link to leave a review. There is no newsletter, and you are never added to a mailing list.

How long it is kept

Order records are kept for as long as you might need your book link again, and for as long as tax and bookkeeping laws require. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to help you. A published review stays up until you ask for it to be taken down.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information held about you, to correct it or to delete it, and you can object to how it is used. Write to contact.simplifiedmedia@gmail.com and you will get an answer within one month. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Cookies and storage

This site sets no advertising cookies. Your browser remembers, in its own local storage and never sent to us, when you closed the sale reminder, so it does not keep coming back. The Stripe checkout page uses its own cookies to prevent fraud.

Changes

When anything here changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
